Nightwatch at Kriterion
After the Second World War the Kriterion foundation was founded because of student resistance. The purpose of the foundation was to provide students from Amsterdam with work in order to fund their studies. Shell Kriterion is one of the projects set up by the Kriterion Foundation. The other project is the Kriterion cinema. In the future we aim to also sell Nightwatch in the Kriterion cinema in Amsterdam east.
Important mottoes of the foundation are: independence, own income, and mutual support. These mottos were set up at the start of the Kriterion foundation and can still be found in the management of the projects of the foundation.
Only students work at Shell Kriterion. It is therefore unique in the world. Currently, 30 students work an average of 12 hours a week.
