How to deadlift with proper form? 5 tips!


  1. Tilt your hips Don’t squat. Squatting puts too much strain on the lower back. Simply tilt your hips with a smaller knee bend.
  2. Keep your chest straight There are many who wrongly bend the spine during the performance of the deadlift. Avoid the pain and injuries by keeping your chest elevated and straight. Focus on lifting the bar with the strength of your legs, not your back.
     
  3. Move the bar with control Don’t drop it like it’s hot! Lower the bar down in a controlled manner. This can be done at about the same pace as up. Still dropping the bar? Then you might be lifting too much weight.
     
  4. Breathe Take a deep breath. Hold your breath as you lift the bar. When the barbell is lifted, you exhale. This will increase your focus and power.
